Today’s focus for my back and core circuit was controlled reps during the endurance sets. Like strength sets, endurance sets and reps help build lean muscle except the only difference between the two kinds of workouts is that the endurance sets also help shred off more fat as well. #throwbackthursday to a fun core day with some funner exercises. Is that a word? 🤪Anyways, check out @mrshellesto rocking these stability ball jackknifes! Her shoulders are stacked over her wrists and she keeps her spine neutral as she brings her knees in towards her chest. As I see her getting fatigued, I coach her through slowing down the movement to keep her balance and stability. I make sure she is drawing her bellybutton in towards her spine to really activate her core and I give her that extra motivation to finish strong! She deserves all the credit for not giving up, such an amazing job, as this was only her first week at Burn! ⁉️What core exercise would you like to see in tomorrow’s workout⁉️

Core day at its finest 😂 I’m keeping it real! I haven’t done a core day in over two months probably... I’m really needing to get back into doing core day at least once a week! It’s my least favourite but it needs to be done as everything branches off from your core. Did you know that if you have back pains and pinch’s lots of times it because your core muscles aren’t strengthened enough. You back and core muscles are linked together which mean they rely on each other!

1st video- make sure to engage your core as in this movement it’s really easy to strain your neck if your pulling your head forward rather then up.
2nd video- bring your legs up and down as slow as possible!
3rd video- make sure your back isn’t arched up or down! grab something like a yoga mat and have your feet touch either side of it. So you know your pulling your legs out to the side equally.
4th video- go as slow as possible when walking your hands up and down. Hold in a plank position for 1-2 seconds before coming back up! P.S sorry for the bad angles of videos!
