Why is it important for baseball players specifically, to have a strong lower half and core, you may ask? .
.

Think of your body as a catapult with your legs as the foundation that supports EVERYTHING. Your core is the spring loaded middle that allows you to generate "torque". Lastly your arm is of course the lever that slings the projectile (baseball). .
.

For example: if you build your catapult out of twigs and glue, then how can you expect the lever to withstand extended use or even be very strong?
The answer is simple, IT CAN'T. The "foundation" (legs) and "spring" (core) are just as important as the "lever" (arm). .

In essence; DON'T SKIP LEG DAY and keep your core STRONG!!

Ok, so there is some debate on weather or not the beginning of a workout is the best time for core exercise (Core stabilizers could get fatigued and make big lifts unstable is the theory) but most of the leaders in Personal Training think working core at the beginning of a workout is best (It activates core muscles and allows them to fire properly)

Today was CHEST and TRICEPS DAY!!! Also hit a little bit of little bit of CORE. Worked out with my dude @heart_lotus_rathi and a spot from my friend @t_talbs3 . Was feeling really good today, hit 255 on Decline Barbell Bench, hit 110 Dumbbells on Flat Bench!! Can’t wait to keep seeing it rise! I weighed in at 177 pounds this morning.
