Here are a few of my favorite ab exercises that never fail me. Swipe right for a demo of each that I’ve listed below.
1️⃣ Med Ball V-Ups - 12-15 reps
2️⃣ Med Ball Russian Twists - 12-15 reps (can use a weighted plate or dumbbell)
3️⃣ Plank Shoulder Taps - 30 reps
4️⃣ Plank “Up Downs” - 20 reps
5️⃣ Plank - 30-90 seconds
I train abs 2-3x per week and usually throw them in a circuit like this at the end of a workout (aka I don’t dedicate an entire day to only abs). Ab circuits like this are great for strengthening your core and improving muscle definition. However, decreasing body fat through proper nutrition is the most important component of being able to actually see your abs. You can do all of the ab exercises you want, but without proper diet/nutrition, your abs are not coming out to play. Complete this circuit 3-5x, eat well, keep moving, stay active and you’re good to go 👍🏼
