Meet the team!
Rusty Packard is a 28 year old home-grown tomato eatin’, Tennessee talkin’, man-child. On August 15th, 1989 he broke the scales at the Chattanooga Hospital weighing in at a whopping 13 lbs. In other words, Rusty has an appetite. He has successfully completed a plethera of food challenges, most recently taking gold at Miss Griffin’s Hot Dog Heavy-Weight Championship, The 18 Egg Omelette, and The Half Gallon Ice Cream Challenge on the Appalachin Trial. Speaking of which, Rusty completed the 2,191 mile long Appalachin Trail in 2012 in 6.5 months, let’s just say Rusty doesn’t think he will come in first place in the Tuk Tuk Race. The man likes to take his sweet time. Rusty has always had a fascination in geography, at the age of 7 Rusty drew each state and flag in the United States, while other kids were watching Sesame Street. Presently, he takes pride in his deep fascination and understanding of global politics, and now can identify nearly every nation’s flag and can recall which other countries border practically any other country, try him! Adventuring of any shape or form is Rusty’s lifestyle: hitchhiking through Mexico, speed rollerblading down the Riverwalk in downtown Chattanooga, freshwater snorkelling, extreme downhill hiking (others might consider it sprinting), white water rafting on the prestigious Ocoee River, or just having a few friends over for some homemade grub (he is quite a chef). Rusty is a durable and strong individual, that when paired with a good team can take on anything. He is currently recovering from a bad fall off of the top of a school bus while he was loading rafts down at the river. If Rusty can survive a punctured spleen, partially collapsed lung, fractured vertebrae, and broken ribs, you can feel confident that he will finish a Tuk Tuk race.
