Physical Therapy has really been helping me. Back rounded a little bit but this was the most I've deadlifted in a little over a year and a half. 455 going up slow as hell, but I set it down in a controlled manner unlike some idiots that feel the need to be heard. #Deadlift #ControlTheWeight #ISawStarsAfterThis

I learned they key to any rowing exercise is to pull back with your elbows & not your arms. By doing this I'm engaging more back muscles & less bicep/forearms . Notice how Im rolling my shoulder blades back before actually pulling the bar close to my chest. & Also Notice how lightly I'm holding onto the bar. I'm basically just using my hands as hooks so that I can let my elbows take over the motion & really feel the muscle to mind connection πŸ’‘πŸ’ͺ🏽 #TrainSmarter #FormIsEverything #ControlTheWeight #BackDay

Getting back into barbell training after a 5 month hiatus.
Did a 4 sets of 12 yesterday on front squat and 4 sets of 25/side of RFESS so my legs are a little toastie today.

4 sets of 12 today of touch and go deads. Last set here at 275. I have trouble counting.

These two areas are highly susceptible to injuries due having a weak lower back (when trying to perform other heavier compound movements), lack of flexibility, not stretching properly before hand, and not giving enough attention to these areas. This a great workout to build strength and stability for an overall stronger body, which will improve safety, form, and strength over time.
And for all the girls who are looking to build their glutes, these are few exercises to incorporate. Guys, don't skip leg days.
Tip: having your toes point out will help you to get a better contract on your glutes.

Chest day! I love using dumbbells on chest day. You may not be able to push as much weight, but when beginning it's important to make sure that you're building strength on both sides of your body evenly. The barbell has a good ability to hide imbalances in your muscle groups. Cables are great for creating tension towards the end of your workout when you don't wanna hold heavy weights over your face. Today was a lighter weight, higher volume day with supersets with around 90 sec rest periods. Again, focusing on form and controlling the weight.

Arm day. This is my least favorite day. Reason is probably because my arms are pretty weak. I've been trying to focus on keeping form and contracting on every rep rather than moving heavier weight. This is the workout I also tend to slow down if I'm not paying attention to the clock so majority of it is supersets to keep myself moving. (Probably should've dropped the weight with the two arm barbell curl. Form sucks.) #armday #biceps #triceps #superset #focusonform #controltheweight #ihatearmday

The longest 3 pull ups of my life... In all of my workouts I like to incorporate slow motion movments. By doing so your body really responds well to let you know where its strong and where it needs some work. Going fast in any activity without first learning it slow will hide a lot of deficiencies and imbalances that we all have. Try these out and let me know how it went for you! Remember speed can hide need!
