When the spring comes, I first get a little corner lit up late in the day, and by mid summer, the sun blazes in and fills the old cider barn with light. The pattern of light and shadow is captivating, but it all moves quickly and if I'm lucky with the weather, two or three consecutive evenings gives me time to get something down, with perhaps just 30 minutes of usable light each day.”
