It’s a new week and a new chance to crush your goals. My goal is to make my workout a priority. I go to the gym at lunch and do 30 minutes of cardio. This works great for me because it gives me some movement at lunch to break up my day and it’s scheduled. No excuses for not having the time. If you want to grow and build some glutes, think heavy exercises > plyos.
Stop the jumping, skipping, and other bunny nonsense and start prioritizing HEAVY compound exercises.
Your focus should be on loading the bar and adding plates each week NOT on burning as many calories as possible through body weight movements.

Other tips:
Find the exercises that work the best for YOU.
SLOW down and make sure you actually feel your muscles working.
Activate those glutes and keep them firing throughout the ENTIRE workout.
Stay at this and make sure you are EATING.

Here’s an example of some of my go to exercises:
▶️Hip thrusts (my gym just got this machine in & im in love):
5 sets of 10
▶️Reverse hack squats
20,15,12 (add weight each set)
▶️Split squats drop set
8,8,8, failure (do 8 heavy, 8 moderate, 8 light, drop the weight and do bodyweight to failure)

Life happens. I pushed my workout until the last minute, but I got it done!

It was hard and the change of rounds reaaaalllly made me feel like I was never going to finish. However, I realized in the end I went up in bands and weights, so now I am feeling like a super human 💪🏼

I love how this program has tracking sheets so I can go back and check all the progress I’ve made when I’m feeling a little defeated.

I hope everyone had a good Monday, and more importantly I hope you did something for yourself today!

Who else is loving this cold weather?! 🤚 Cozy blankets, hot lattes, all things pumpkin spice 🎃 It’s good stuff 🙌 It’s been a great break from this North Carolina heat, BUT I don’t know about you, but I can tolerate MAYBE a week and a half of the cold before the seasonal blues hit...😬 Even though I LOVE all things Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas, it doesn’t make up for the lack of vitamin D and much needed sunshine to keep the seasonal depression at bay. Now that I have a little squish 👶🏻💙 to take care of, it’s more important than EVER to make sure that I don’t let that get the better of me. Anyone else struggle with seasonal depression? How do you handle it?
