Sometimes all you can do is show up armed with #TrustinTrust and #Faith in Faith. Today I've been rewarded with a gentle reminder that even some of the most successful, #awakened people battle #ChronicIllness with #dignity and #hope. Today I remain #consciously aware, out of negative ego/#victim consciousness and most importantly, keeping my eye on the prize which is #Selflove in order to #loveallserveall.
"I have boundless energy. But like, I don't have BOUNDLESS energy. I've managed chronic lung infections for years. I will heal it, I have full faith. But for those of you always dealing with a health "something", I hope this is helpful... 💙
My smiles on social are very real. I'm jazzed to do every gig. I live in CHOICE -- there's zero resentment in what I do. And sometimes, it's a fucking grind. When I'm on the road, instead of staying out with sweet friends (I'm so wired to talk 'til dawn) I head to my hotel to get in the little respiratory tent* I travel with. (It pumps out essential oil.) I have a bag of supplements, garlic, oregano, a steroid inhaler. The stress of wondering if I'm going to have a voice for an interview or on stage is real. I fight fevers regularly. I basically live trying to NOT get bronchial pneumonia. 💙
So that's the BTS. I don't even talk to my friends about it much because "chronic" is a chronic drag. (And, an upside, being quiet about it helps conserve some energy.) It's despairing at times. I want to create and give so much, and the lung situation can be a drag. And, it does not stop me. Clearly. Some months are about rising above it. Some months, I need to dial down. 💙
The point is: Don't assume ANYONE has boundless energy and that you're falling behind in the game (and so much of it is a game). AND... don't let your "health something" eclipse your much more meaningful "everything". Healing is a journey and the lessons are deep and many. You will respect your body with a reverence you didn't know was possible. AND you will learn that you are not your body. Depends on the day. 💙" ✨repost @daniellelaporte
