*** HOW TO START YOUR OWN BUSINESS MISSION – STEP 2 *** Day two of my four tips for starting your own wellness business. Did you read step one yet? If not, check-out my feed and look back on yesterday’s post.
Step 2: Mindful money
Anything to do with money usually brings a very personal reaction. Too little, too much, too showy, too stingy… there is a whole world of opinions out there about our finances. But whatever the emotional reaction there is one thing we can’t get away from. Money is important. It provides us a place to sleep, food in our stomachs and it can be the giving and sharing with others that brings us some of our greatest joy.
There is a reason why I chose the topic of money AFTER yesterday’s step, because as a mindful business coach I believe that purpose comes first. Intention is king. But money comes just behind because the way I see it is this: if you have something which can serve the world then you need to be as financial stable as possible, to make sure that you can keep helping the world for as long as you have something to give.
This step means taking some time to research the costs of running your business upfront (website costs, email fees, business cards, equipment etc.) and at the same time being aware of what you need to earn as a minimum for you and your family.
Knowledge is power when it comes to your money. Know where you stand. Get a strong grip on where your costs come from and then no matter what your financial or employment situation, step-by-step, month-by-month, year-by-year you CAN move your career and business in the direction you wish for.
