It's an Agile AL-2000. They don't make it anymore. Got replaced by a bolt on model that didn't last long. The pickups are Dragonfire Screamers. Both volume knobs are push/pull so I can split the coils separately. Quite possibly the best playing guitar I've ever owned. #agileguitars #agile #electricguitar #guitar #toottoottucson #tucson #tucsonmusician #music #dragonfirepickups #alienworld #sciencefiction #scifi #titanxn2 #conceptalbum #progressiverock #postapocalyptic #progmetal

“Tommy”- The Who (1969)// Throughout the mid-to-late 60’s The Who had become cultural icons within the British Pop and Mod subcultures with their standard 3 minute song structures. In an effort to break free from a career based on “radio singles,” Pete Townsend began thinking of new ways to tell stories musically. Up to this point, pop music had consisted of individual tracks each telling a singular story within their allotted timeframe. What Townsend began working with was the idea of using a full LP album to tell a much more detailed and elongated story, with each track contributing to the overall narrative of the album. The result: a rock opera (a term coined by the band’s co-manager, Kit Lambert). In August of 1968, in an interview for Rolling Stone Magazine, Pete Townsend told the story of a deaf, dumb, and blind kid named Tommy that was to be the focus for The Who’s newest musical endeavor. This triggered enthusiasm for the rest of the band, who had given their guitarist full creative control for the album. Recording for “Tommy” began in September, 1968 and a slow process of songwriting followed. At the time, The Who was struggling financially due to their notorious reputation for destroying their instruments at each show, and their was surmountable pressure on this album to be successful. “Tommy” was officially released in the spring of 1969 and quickly gained the commercial success needed to save the band. The album rose to No. 2 on the UK album charts, and No. 4 in the US. Within two months, the album was certified gold, and in 2012 had gone on to sell over 20 million copies worldwide. To this day, “Tommy” still stands as one of the most radical and influential albums of all time and has even been inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame for “historical, artistic and significant value.” “Tommy” original US first pressing by Decca Records (1969). #TheWho #Tommy #PeteTownsend #RogerDaltrey #KeithMoon #JohnEntwistle #ClassicRock #Rock #RockOpera #Album #ConceptAlbum #Vinyl #Record #VinylRecord #LP #RecordCollecting #RecordCollection #TysLPs #Music #1969 #DeccaRecords

White Album - The Beatles (1968)
