So @brobenza hit me with a #favlockchallenge and since I'm up, I figured I'd post something right away and maybe follow up tomorrow. My favorite lock is by far the @spyderco_inc #compressionlock. You can close the knife with one finger while keeping your fingers entirely out of the blade path. It's 99.99% reliable, strong, and safe. The action of opening and closing the knife is almost instantly fluid and natural to any user once they get it, and it's just a ton of fun to flip open and closed. Plus it's easy to make a solid knife that's also really light weight and slim for that ultimate #edcperfection balance. Some may complain of blade play, but any side to side play you get can usually be easily eliminated and doesn't affect the safety of the lock system in any way. I've had liner locks and frame locks fail on me, but my comp lock knives have always been 100% solid and reliable. It's just a shame that so few knives are made with this lock!
Alright, enough 1 AM rambling...I'll post a video or something and pass this on to some of my knife peeps later on. Good night, #knifeknuts!
