Loving, respecting, nurturing, encouraging and supporting myself certainly hasn't come to me naturally. I spent a good portion of my teenage years and early 20's absolutely hating everything about myself. I drowned in my own negativity, chose to pick apart all my imperfections, compared myself to people who I thought I wanted to be like, was forever pessimistic, focused on the worst possible outcome in every situation, and basically convinced myself that I wasn't worthy of being happy and successful. It was such a toxic way of thinking, which resulted in a lifestyle that dampened my physical health. How you think, feel and perceive yourself to be truly does manifest itself on the outside!!! I've worked incredibly hard over the last 5 years to dig myself out of the rut I was in, shifting my mindset and giving my whole lifestyle a makeover. Nobody else is going to do that for you - not your partner, not your family, not your friends, not even your personal trainer - IT ALL STARTS WITH YOU!!!!! You need to believe in your strengths, you need to tell yourself that you are capable, you need to take charge of the things that are in your control, you need to remind yourself every day that the possibilities are endless and that you CAN be whoever it is you want to be in this life!!! So do yourself a favour and start being kinder to yourself, move your body, fuel it with good food and appreciate the beautiful gift that you have!!!
