One of my favorite back exercises is the Gironda Row named after famed trainer Vince Gironda. This exercise will stretch the lats like no other. This is the ending position. Starting position has your arms out straight in front of you stretching the lats to their fullest and you looking down at the floor. As you row the weight in lift your head and torso up like you are peeking out of a hole. Follow my Story for my full daily workouts with video.

Manimal! Changing gym atmosphere this week as I prep for my very first natural pro show this Saturday. The Jungle here in Tulsa is savage and my kind of place. Although today is my rest day from strength training, I promised myself that I would utilise my free time to the best of my ability, and locked in a token LISS session before my evening clients.
Got to about lunch time, energy levels dipped down after spending the morning on my laptop, looked at the crappy weather outside, started to churn the excuses around in my head as to why I shouldn't go...
"I'm tired."
"It looks like rain."
"It's cold."
"I want to sleep."
"I can't be bothered."
Not one of those single statements is going to get me closer to being in my best physical condition for the stage!! And being as stubborn as I am, I cannot simply back out of doing the things I NEED to do, just to give in to my excuses of avoiding temporary pain and discomfort. Feeling sorry for yourself for being a little tired isn't going to change a damn thing!!!!
So after some encouraging words from a teammate (and a little bit of a pep talk after scrolling back at photos from this mornings' posing practice in my brand new @glamfitbikinis), I blasted the iPod volume to full power, threw on my Serious Cardio attire (man, I love a solid hooded vest!) and smashed the HELL out of that LISS!!!!
You don't need to have the bursting enthusiasm or the get-up-and-go attitude all the time, you just need to get shit done. Simple as that!!

I can't even begin to explain how much EASIER my life has been since discovering @bodymealsau โœŒ๐Ÿผ I have not had to prep ANY meat since including one meal a day into my macros, thanks to the incredibly high protein content of every dish ๐Ÿด The convenience of these pre-weighed, pre-cooked and pre-packaged meals means that I'm spending less time in the kitchen, not creating as much food wastage, still able to hit my macros AND I can simply chuck a box into my gym bag and eat them ANYWHERE, ANYTIME!!! Loving, respecting, nurturing, encouraging and supporting myself certainly hasn't come to me naturally. I spent a good portion of my teenage years and early 20's absolutely hating everything about myself. I drowned in my own negativity, chose to pick apart all my imperfections, compared myself to people who I thought I wanted to be like, was forever pessimistic, focused on the worst possible outcome in every situation, and basically convinced myself that I wasn't worthy of being happy and successful. It was such a toxic way of thinking, which resulted in a lifestyle that dampened my physical health. How you think, feel and perceive yourself to be truly does manifest itself on the outside!!! I've worked incredibly hard over the last 5 years to dig myself out of the rut I was in, shifting my mindset and giving my whole lifestyle a makeover. Nobody else is going to do that for you - not your partner, not your family, not your friends, not even your personal trainer - IT ALL STARTS WITH YOU!!!!! You need to believe in your strengths, you need to tell yourself that you are capable, you need to take charge of the things that are in your control, you need to remind yourself every day that the possibilities are endless and that you CAN be whoever it is you want to be in this life!!! So do yourself a favour and start being kinder to yourself, move your body, fuel it with good food and appreciate the beautiful gift that you have!!!
