Sapphire lives in Harlem with her mom and is the youngest of six children. She was encouraged by a friend to join The Brotherhood/Sister Sol when staff members came to their high school to talk about the Liberation Program. Upon further investigation, Sapphire became inspired by the notion of becoming a socially conscious individual. In 2014, she applied and was accepted into @brosis512 Summer Liberation School, a training program for young people who are interested in becoming #socialjustice #activists and #communityorganizers. She successfully completed the course and became a member of the Liberation Program (LP). This summer, she is assisting staff members in training the new cadre of aspiring #socialchange #agents.
At the end of August, Sapphire will be heading off to the University of San Diego, where she plans to study Psychology and Business Administration. "I am interested in counseling and sports therapy. I don't like to see people struggling or hurt. My passion is to help others." | Support #BrotherhoodSisterSol Seniors As They Head Off To College | $2,500
