Meet Lisa Troutner @carmelbellafarm from Carmel Valley, California USA 🇺🇸 "I am a gardener, food artist and photographer at Carmel Bella Farm. I live in the coastal mountains of Carmel Valley, California near the Monterey Bay. I have vowed to only grow the purest, highest quality, organic produce I am capable of cultivating by practicing sustainable gardening methods and using only organic soil and pest control.
I grew up in the redwoods of Santa Cruz, CA and I've always been a lover of nature. Our family had a small garden where I played and picked giant zucchinis for dinner. When I became a mother 10 years ago, my passion for gardening blossomed and bloomed and it has now grown into a small business that keeps me (and my 2 rambunctious young boys) extremely busy.
I am now certified organic and grow a wide variety of heirloom tomatoes (which are my specialty), peppers, eggplants and herbs, and sell them at our local Farmer's Market and grocery store. I also grow figs, strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, stone fruits, brassicas, garlic, onions, greens, root vegetables and more for my family.
In the future, I would love to have a sustainable homestead with a larger organic farm, where I am able to produce a substantial amount of food for my family and the community. I envision inviting people to join us to experience and explore the unique aspects of the farm, learn about organic gardening techniques and enjoy time together eating our delicious homegrown foods!"
