Self-love isn’t easy & I think we tend to forget that. We are quick to talk down to ourselves and put way to much pressure on ourselves. Learning to speak to yourself with kindness & grace is a DAILY practice... and we aren’t going to be perfect at it!
I like to remind myself that I am human. My emotions will always ebb & flow. It’s a beautiful balance. We can’t appreciate the light if we haven’t walked through the darkness! So whenever I feel those negative voices creeping into my life, I always take a moment to put them into perspective.
It’s ok! This too shall pass ❤️ And then I make sure to counteract those thoughts with a positive one, even if I may not truly believe it at the time. Before you know it, this pattern of “flipping the negative self-talk switch” will become more automatic. And you’ll notice that your default voice becomes one of love first.
