Definitely was a no makeup, messy hair, dad hat kinda morning.
BUT still made it to the gym and felt so much better afterwards- despite my appearance lmao

Going home today for break and I couldn’t be more excited🙏🏼
Ready to see familiar faces, sleep in my bed, and eat all the food👅
This time of year would always bring more than a few ounces of anxiety for me, and I’d be lying to you if I said it no longer does.
The difference? ➡️ How I’m choosing to handle it
One if the most important things with situations like this is being proactive.
Know what could bring on triggers, find ways to combat them, and creating a mental game plan
I’m at that point where I choose to let my mind fill with the moments/memories made, and not the fears and frustrations.
I’m also thankful that I have an amazing support network at home filled with family and friends, so i know I’ll always be okay😊

New week, new goals 💪🏻 I definitely believe that small weekly goals help keep you motivated rather than only focusing on big goals. For me this week I’m trying to intake more water, because I know that’s where I’ve been lacking lately 💦 for anyone that doesn’t know I only drink water because anything too high in sugar tigger migraines for me 😖 Have fab week everyone, stay slaying 🍑🔥 (Don’t mind my hair it’s a hot mess per norm)

How am I approaching the holiday season with my fitness/health goals still in mind?? “I stay ready so I don’t have to get ready” - @shawnmodel says it best. I’m not focused on “OH MAN I gotta crash diet and eat nothing all week and do all the cardio to make up for the gorging I’m about to ensue on Thursday!!” Nononono no no. This week we’re gonna train hard because that’s what we’ve been doin, nothing changes. We’re not compensating for Thursday, because we are noooooot overdoing the food for the sake of overdoing it. We’re gonna be with loved ones, remembering what the heckinbob we’re thankful for. .

This is a normal week with the few perks of being in the presence of family and food made with love. We (I) are not going to abuse that amazing blessing by thinking about ourselves and our bellies...because this holiday isn’t about your six pack. .

This weekend was a much needed break but did you really go to NOLA if you didn’t drink your weight in alcohol on Bourbon? 🙈 This last week has been hectic as far as school, but tomorrow makes my last day of classes before Thanksgiving break so I’ll be going hard in the gym this week. 🙌🏾 I couldn’t be happier. A workout was just what I needed... I’m still surprised I didn’t have to crawl out of the gym. 😂 Physique update still coming soon! 😇 •

So thankful my breakfast can be taken on the go! Today is day 2/3 of working 12+hrs and I honestly am not sure of when I will actually be clocking out tonight... I have a ton of black friday prep that needs to be done before we open tomorrow morning as well as rearranging the store. Usually I'd skip breakfast on these busy mornings but not today! Here's what I put into my shake:

4 oz of almond milk
4 oz of water
1 Cup of ice
1/2 Banana
Dash of cinnamon
Shit ton of sprinkles
1 scoop of my superfood powder

Happy Monday! Went to class, hit legs and boots (obvi), then Chipotle. Currently binge watching season 2 of Stranger Things while avoiding homework. The semester is quickly coming to a close and I couldn't be more excited for the holidays and spending time with family and friends. Also really excited to get a new phone soon. But will try to avoid binge eating and eating like overall shit for the next month while going out and spending time with everyone. Happy Monday. Go slay this week, even if it's a holiday week!

Coming up to the holidays can create some anxiety for people. Thanksgiving dinner, apple pie, pumpkin pie, leftovers... the threat of losing our progress weighs on us. Here’s the thing, one day won’t ruin your progress. Keeping your anxiety low comes down to a mindset. Your progress cannot disappear because of one day, keep this in mind, and enjoy your holiday.

Good thing break is coming up so i had minimal responsibilities.
But still
I love going out with my friends and having fun, but i hate the morning after and how unproductive I am
Honestly would totally go bed early every night, if I could, and then wake up early in the morning to get my day started
But, I know deep down I love my friends and wanna have fun with them, so i make the sacrifice
And it usually turns out being a great time, regardless of how not so great i feel the next day😂

This week is going to be tougher then usually. I work a double (or 12+hrs) Monday and Tuesday. Wednesday starts our black Friday deals. And Friday I work 5am to 5pm. I also will be traveling to Maryland again this weekend and have 4 days left to complete 3 chapters of homework plus 4 quizzes.

When my anxiety and stress gets high I tend to forget about taking care of myself. I tend to go towards what is the easiest solution versus what is the healthiest. My example: this morning I woke up late and only had 25 minutes to spare. I would usually just skip my workout and go drink coffee on the couch. But today I decided I would do a 10 minute workout plus some stretching.

In this time of chaotic holiday spirit, stress from finals, or anything else that gets you worked up, choose to spend time working on yourself. Because that one cup of coffee I missed out on can't replace the confidence boost I get after working out.
