I still remember the night this picture was taken so vividly. It was somewhere in between a year and two years ago on the last night of summer before I started my senior year of high school. I wasn’t really nervous to start, but rather, felt a sense of finiteness closing in on me. It would be the last year before everything would change.
My mom & I drove to the park for a walk that evening. We strolled & chatted, clinging to summer’s final breath as the sun descended behind the trees. It was unspectacular and spectacular all rolled into one.
I often find that pictures like this, from simple moments, often have the happiest and most vivid memories attached to them. I find it more natural to remember moments of pure joy, gratitude, and tranquility than the ones that appear to be more grand. Truly, simplicity is a gift.
Do you guys have moments in your life that seem so simple but mean so much to you? I’d love to hear them❤️
