On learning how to sew .
I've only started to sew this year in March when I bought myself my first sewing machine. I've learnt how to sew 10 years ago at uni, but that was during my textile design studies where we didn't learn a thing about sewing clothing, we used the machine to sew apllique on textiles, embroid and "draw" with it. So my experience creating clothing was ZERO. .
It's really not that hard though; in March, I simply followed the manual which came with the sewing machine and learned step by step how to thread the machine, sew and all other little bits like exchanging the foot and making buttonholes (that was scary at first 🙈). .
If you want to make your own clothing you totally CAN! After about a week of fiddling around with the machine settings, I got myself my first sewing pattern and simply followed it carefully step by step without ever having done it before. Not that hard! 🎉🎉🎉 You can totally do that too 💪
