- 50ml Malfy Gin Rosa
- 40ml Pink Grapefruit Juice
- 20ml Homemade hibiscus & Rose Syrup
- 10ml Lime Juice
- A pinch of pine-smoked salt
Muddle a tiny sprig of Rosemary with the salt and syrup in your tin. Add the rest and shake till properly diluted. Double strain over crushed ice and Garnish with a wedge of grapefruit, limewheel, Rosemary and thyme .
The weekend's over and it's time to kick off a new and exciting week 😍 because today and tomorrow I'll be judging in Copperhead's global cocktail competition 🍹 tasting drinks by talented bartenders from the UK, Germany, Sweden and Switzerland 🌍 in one of Belgium's most beautiful cocktailbars, . 💖 Of each country, one bartender will be chosen to move on to the global finals of 'The Alchemist Experience'. .
In the meanwhile, here's a tipple I made right before I left for Mallorca.🇪🇸 A fine drink based on 's beautiful 'Rosa', a gin made with vacuum distilled grapefruit and rhubarb.🥃 Honestly, I'm often a bit prejudiced when brands release new expressions at a high pace, but Malfy really surprised me in the best way possible with their Rosa, absolutely hitting the bullseye 🎯 It's fresh, clean, vibrant, has a Juniper kick, everything I'm looking for in a fruity gin. 🇮🇹 For the cocktail, which I named 'La Preziosa', I gave it a good ol' shake, using lime and grapefruit, a homemade Hibiscus and Rose Syrup 🌹 Rosemary, Thyme 🌿 and a little pinch of beautifully smoked Tiroler pine salt 🔥 for a faint earthy, savoury edge.
