My mother's dwarf chicken pets. When i was in grade school, my teacher told me a fable about chickens of the sky. In ancient times, chickens used to be denizens of the sky. And Hawks used to be a strong bird of the land. Chickens have wide strong wings while Hawks wings are narrow and weak. One day, Hawk told chicken that it wants the flight experience. So the generous chicken lent it's wings to the hawk. As soon as the hawks fly, it never came back. Chickens are left eternally with hawks weak wings, and they never could fly high. So every morning and evening every chicken would scream cock-a-doodle-doo. The scream that longs the flight on the skies. The moral of the story is you shouldn't be too generous. Because being too generous, does not equal kindness, but foolishness. Or so the folk says.
