Today’s synergy fact is about the importance of warming up warm-up activity serves three purposes
1. enhance performance
2. prevent injury.
3. Mentally prepare
Warming up increases blood flow, more blood going to the muscles, which brings with it more oxygen available to the working muscles, means better performance. The increase in body temperature also contributes to faster muscle contraction and relaxation (not as tight physically). Both the increased blood flow and rise in body temperature will assist in performance and injury prevention
Warming up allows for mentally preparing for the upcoming workout, or competition.
