Second round of shoulders, legs and calves this week and high reps (12-15) on everything, substituting rest with 30 seconds of a high paced exercise. Four sets of these back to back with no rest left the legs screaming!
Back, traps and bi's this morning. Even though I feel like dying after these workouts of substituting 30 second high paced exercises for rest, I like the way I feel the rest of the day. You may not like the pain you're going through at the time, but trust the process, put in the work and give it all you've got...the results will come.
Legs, shoulders and calves this morning...absolute torture. Substituting rest periods with 30 seconds of any little exercise to keep the heart rate elevated. 4 x 9-11 on everything, with rests coming between setting up for the next round of exercises. Great way to kick off my Monday!
Day 1 of switching up my routine and it was a doozy! Rest periods are replaced with 30 seconds of some sort of quick paced movement...in this case kettlebell swing. 4 x 9-11 on everything for chest, tri's and abs. Rest happens only when increasing/decreasing weight or setting up for the next set of exercises. Heart rate stays elevated throughout the entire workout. Now time to watch some football and meal prep!
