You know, we all give a lot of flak to the prequels but I am sure what we all can agree with was that the prequels actually introduced a whole new world of Star Wars to us with brand new characters that mattered and new worlds that we never saw before. I mean, the Clone Wars came out of the prequels. I liked General Grievous, and who can forget Darth Maul? Let's be honest here, were you not impressed when the first image of Maul was released? .
Of all the prequels, I cringed in Episode 2. To me, the weakest of the lot. IMHO, Liam Neeson brought a lot of dignity to Episode 1 and the lightsaber battle at the end got me glued to my seat! But I want to talk about Episode 3. .
When I walked out of Episode 3, the first thing I said was, now that's a Star Wars movie! It had all the elements that made Star Wars what it was. Heroes and villains, a sense of adventure, fun and exciting bits and quite an ending actually despite the cringe worth "NOOOOOO" from Vader. Interesting new characters, like the aforementioned Grevious, and again, new planets and worlds. I bought so many toys out of Episode III. I think that says a lot about how I feel about Episode III. I think we don't give enough credit to George Lucas for Episode III and associate it too much simply because of it being a prequel. So here, I will officially THANK ole George Lucas for another wonderful chapter in the Star Wars world building!!! .
