Watching the Masterchef final while devouring this DIVINE block of chocolate! 😍 @alterecosf not only produce delicious chocolate, but they're also a highly ethical brand, which ticks two big boxes for me!
Chocolate tends to be an easy one when we're looking at ingredients. Most of the time, there's going to be ingredients such as cocoa, cocoa butter (notice the o's and a's here...) cocoa mass, sugar, milk solids.
Now, without getting into a strict debate over what are THE most wholesome ingredients to have in sweets, these kind of ingredients I'm ok with for the otherwise healthy individual, in reasonable portions. What my eyes get drawn to when reading ingredient labels are numbers and ingredients that I wouldn't associate with what makes up that food naturally; ie. enhancers, stabilisers, preservatives, thickeners etc etc.
May I suggest, rather than being consumed by the nutritional label (where, correct me if I'm wrong, you're looking at the fat content first, then the others), try swapping to paying more attention to the actual ingredients; this is where the magic is!
