It's been a difficult week living with concussion symptoms: migraines, dizziness, sciatica pain in my legs and the overall feeling of weakness and trauma.
Yesterday I finally started to emerge and today @stephplaysoutside took me out for brunch at the farmers market. I am grateful for all the good wishes, the care and attention that I have received throughout these hard times. I am grateful for this chance to recover my health and hold onto life.
I am a lot less supportive of the attitude and behavior of a small group of climbers who feel justified in removing life-protecting safety gear placed by our community on climbs such as the one I fell off of.
If you are a bolt chopper, or a pin remover, please hear my plea: leave it be! Safety first, life above pride. If you seek competition, find a consenting challenger.
