Let’s talk about orange blossom:
Despite the name, orange blossom doesn't come from oranges, it comes from a bitter orange shrub found originally in India, and now throughout southern Europe and Morocco. These shrubs produce stunning little white or pale pink flowers also named as neroli. Orange blossom is known for its remarkable perfume.
From this delicate flower we can obtain hydrosol and essential oil by steam distillation, which means that steam is passed through the petals and captures scented molecules. The steam's is cooled to a liquid form and it will be separated in two different ingredients: Neroli Essential Oil and Orange Blossom Hydrosol.
Both are amazing ingredients for skin care: Neroli Essential Oil has regenerating and antioxidant properties, and the Orange Blossom Hydrosol is moisturising, soothing and toning. 🍊🌸🌱🍊🌸🌱🍊🌸🍊🌱
