Regrann from @nellesnails - So my client came in today with super thin acrylic that was put on by another shop and complained of breaking nails, so we did a rebalance to strengthen the Apex. You have to have a well built Apex! The Apex is where the stress point of the nail is, which is towards the center. If you have longer Nails you should definitely have a strong Apex. When laying the acrylic, it should not be flat and thin. That will cause breaking and possible damage to the Natural nail. The bulk of the products should be in the middle of the nail which is where the Apex is. When the Apex is strong, you are less likely to have breaking. Remember, treat your nails delicately! They are Jewels not tools!
