The Dana 60 is mocked up.
I think I have it centered and the pinion angle where it needs to be, but I’ll take another set of measurements in the day light tomorrow to make sure my eyes aren’t playing tricks on me.
I had to grind on the brackets a little bit because they are meant for a 3” axle tube, but the Dana 60 has closer to a 3 1/8” axle tube. I was worried about upsetting the geometry until I began trying to find things on the frame to measure from, only to realize that they were less than precise when riveting the frame together.
I’d say the tolerances in my handy work are on par with the factory GM tolerances of the mid-60s.
Hopefully tomorrow I can get this thing centered, the brackets welded on, and make arrangements to have my driveshaft shortened... with enough time to still go fishing.
