@bof ✨ Clare Press has an empowering podcast series @mrspress : wardrobe crisis . Check it out to see her interview with Kalpona Akter. Be the change in fashion .

After 9 years working with modern women on their personal style, I honestly have to admit the connection between these two. I often used to think wardrobe crisis was a symptom of an identity or personal shaking, but since I started to understand how possessions represent our believes and life style, I could realize the impact of my job in women lives and society.
Today I want to recommend you a wonderful book #wardrobecrisis from #clarepress, here you’ll not find how to survive the crisis of your wardrobe or identity, but ☝🏻 you certainly will find the history and ethics behind what we wear, and that my friend, gives you clarity and CLARITY = POWER, imagine you, aligning your personal image to your personal values and life style!
In this book the author examines the entire fashion ecosystem, from sweatshops to haute couture, unearthing the roots of today's buy-and-discard culture. She takes us on an insider's journey of discovery and revelation.
Wardrobe Crisis is a witty and persuasive argument for a fashion revolution that will empower you to feel good about your wardrobe again.

It’s not everyday you get the opportunity to interview one of your idols. Chatting with @mrspress for an hour on topics like ethics, sustainable fashion and women changing the world was one of the most inspiring conversations I’ve ever had. It doesn’t feel like work when you get to write stories like this. Thank you Clare for being such a legend - this is definitely a career highlight ♻️💖🕺🏼

@hermajestymora recently said on @mrspress' Wardrobe Crisis podcast said that there are a loads of people with "there is no planet B" t shirts but don't take it seriously. This dovetailed perfectly with a blog post I was writing about the huge number of sustainability related hashtags there are, the number of celebration / awareness days that I'd love to participate in but can't keep up with.
.
Does using hashtags to start movements actually work? Its pretty easy to tag a photo or a tweet or whatever with a hashtag, but what about the follow up? Does taking a photo of a sign with "I made my clothes" / "who made my fibre" mean an actual change in behaviour? All that and more in my essay today on the blog. It is a long read, but hopefully a useful one and I'd love to hear your thoughts on hashtag activism and whether it has spurred you into taking action. Link in profile as usual.

Coming soon... Writing my first piece saw me reaching out to a women whose ethics in the fashion industry are refreshing. Writing this piece, I was so inspired by her outlook on not only the fashion industry but life, giving me the inspiration like so many others in this industry such as Yvon Chouninard of Patagonia, Stella McCartney, Clare Press and Ebony Eagles of Auguste the Label.
