More terrible news. Marcus Peters is expected to be traded to the Rams. Now we are virtually guaranteed Trumaine Johnson. He's got way better intangibles than Fuller and will likely want to get some revenge on the Rams for this move (players often feel like they got disrespected in moves like these). Ugh, would I have preferred Marcus Peters? Well yeah. But watch it. The Rams likely traded away their future with this one. Don't be surprised to see a first round pick, a player, and probably some conditional pick. As for you, @truj2, welcome to the bay! It's literally sunny outside right now with the temperature being a little bit on the chilly side (I mean it's winter come on). The girls ain't fake over here either and I swear nobody will make drink wheatgrass shots. You'll also get virtually every cent that you ask for in free agency! Oh yeah, you'll also get to play in a stadium that was built literally just for your team (pretty crazy amirite?). How do y'all feel about the 49ers options at cornerback?

Jimmy Garoppolo definitely sparked this team up but I’d really like to give some credit to CJ Beathard. I see a lot of negative comments about Beathard and it really drives me nuts. People are calling the dude a bust like he was supposed to be the franchise guy as a 3rd round pick. I don’t see a bust at all, I see a quality back up QB and I think that’s definitely worth a 3rd rounder. This recent Super Bowl proved how valuable a back up QB can be, and Beathard is as calm as they come which is important for a back up. I imagine he will pick up a lot in year two after being behind Jimmy Garoppolo. #49ers #JimmyGaroppolo #CJBeathard 🐱🐱Learn more San Francisco 49ers 👉 https://clssport.com/category/nfl/san-francisco-49ers/ or @49ersfans247 on Bio #49ersfans247

My season grade for our Head Coach Kyle Shanahan is a "A-". This season's early short comings didn't have a whole lot to do with our coach. However, our late season glory run had everything to do with him. Sure he didn't make the best decision in signing Brian Hoyer, but tell me, what were our other options? Some will obviously bring up Case Keenum, but what was he before this season? He wasn't even good enough to be called a Bridge QB. Nobody saw nor anticipated Case Keenum's rise to stardom. Anyways, back to us. This season started off pretty rough. It was filled with drops, interceptions, mistakes, pass interference flags, etc. But how can a coach fix those continued, in-game mistakes? It's one thing to have one mistake-ridden game. That's an easy fix. But what happens when George Kittle and Marquise are dropping balls left and right? What happens when Dontae Johnson gives up another first down? What happens when you have to put in your developmental rookie starter for multiple games? You struggle. And Kyle can't prevent stuff like that. All he can do is acknowledge what they're doing wrong. The players from there, have to find themselves. Luckily Kittle and Marquise did. But others, like Rashard Robinson, were traded, or released. Now things are obviously looking good with Jimmy G coming to town and all of our players stepping up. We made our name known after that Jacksonville game. But I think that Shanahan made his name as a head coach be known during the Eagles game. We held strong during most of it. And with Trent Brown out, things were difficult with that star Eagles pass rush. But they held strong, even after Joe Staley went out as well. We had no starting tackles in, and only one real tackle. But the playcalling was brilliant. Shanahan found ways to move the ball. It was incredible. We were running fakes and quick throws that were so unorthodox that they worked! That game really stuck out to me because of how skilled it was. Shanahan looked like a real offensive guru, and it was during this game that I realized that I had complete faith in him. How would y'all grade Shanahan's season? 🤘💛❤

Terrible news. It looks like the Lions are going to Franchise Tag Ziggy Ansah. If this turns out to be true, our options at DE will become extremely restricted and I would expect us to trade up in the draft for Bradley Chubb. Ansah to SF almost seemed inevitable until today and this could ruin our chances at fixing a massive roster hole. This move would also pretty much guarantee Arik Armstead's 5th year option. Catastrophic news. Just to put the post-Ziggy Ansah Market into perspective, the next best pass rusher becomes Adrian Clayborn, who had one absolutely historic game with 6 sacks, and then he fell off the map for most of year. What do y'all want the 49ers to do with DE if Ziggy Ansah is tagged? 🤘❤💛

The 49ers are meeting with 2-time pro bowler Vontae Davis today. I wouldn't worry about this too much y'all, he's definitely not going to be holding down our #1 corner spot, or prevent us for going for another big name free agent. If we were to sign him, he would be a rotational player, similar to our own Elvis Dumervile. I'd honestly like to have him. Sure he's getting up there in age, but he's got a solid 2 years left in him. He isn't a bad teammate by any means and he could definitely help some of our younger guys mature. I'm also confident that his services wouldn't cost any more than 5 million per year. So yes, I'm on board. However, keep in mind that he is the only really noteworthy corner on the market right now. He also is coming off a pretty big groin surgery that ended his season. This very well could be a "smoke screen", so keep that in mind. Would you sign Vontae Davis? 🤘❤💛

According to sources, Marcus Peters is reportedly on the trading block. This. Is. Huge. And if this is TRUE (good chance that it isn't) then we need to make a massive push for his services. Marcus Peters is an interception machine with great coverage ability and solid intangibles for our 4-3 scheme. He's also incredibly young, and at 26 his value is easily worth a 1st round pick, amongst others. What would y'all give up for the 2 time pro-bowler and 2 time all-pro corner?

Reports claim that Trumaine Johnson will likely hit the market. This is even more huge news for us. As a Cornerback needy team with a ton of cap space, having just one of your free agent targets hit the market is amazing. For us, we got our top two (Malcolm Butler probably is a backup plan, but I personally love him). Both Fuller and Johnson fit our 4-3 defensive scheme because of their optimal intangibles. Expect for the 49ers to aggresivly pursue both. Johnson is my favorite of the two, just because he's far more consistent then Fuller, at least on a career basis. Who ya'll taking?

Per report(s), Kyle Fuller is unlikely to recieve the Franchise Tag from the Bears. He likely will test the free agent market. This is huge news for us, as we are likely front runners for his services. Fuller will be looking for a lucrative, multi year contract worth somewhere in the range of 11-13 million per year, which is very affordable to us. The market is looking good for the Red and Gold, so stay tuned! Do y'all want Kyle Fuller in Red and Gold next year?

Hey faithful! I'm gonna try this and see how it goes. Basically I'm going to just let y'all ask me any 49er question and I will try to respond to the best of my ability. Feel free to answer each other's questions too! Fire away 🤘🏽❤💛

Who are y'all signing? I'm going to have to go with Bell. He's more useful at a position where we don't have a lot of depth. (BTW both of these guys will/should command similar contracts) 🤘🏽❤💛

Sometimes, NFL analysts say the best things, the smartest things. Like, "The 49ers are a prime free agent destination because of a, b, and c which gives them the best chance to ascend through the NFC West division." For example. Then they say shit that makes me want to kick myself in the face. I just read an NFL article that was based around potentially notable NFC team cuts. Jordy Nelson and Randall Cobb were the cuts for the Packers. Adrian Peterson for the Cardinals. And y'all know who we got? Elvis Dumervile. What kind of crack are they on? You're gonna tell me, that we SHOULD CUT, NOT RELEASE OR TRADE BUT CUT, our leading sacker from 2017. Wow. My brain actually stalled for a second when I read that. Why the hell should we cut him!? He's great in the locker room, he's got some great name value, he can mentor, he's affordable, and he's productive. He's an ideal rotational DE. I have no idea as to why we should cut him, especially since we don't need cap like some other teams. This might be the biggest piece of 49er-related idiocy that I have read in 2018 so far. Smh. What grade would y'all give Elvis Dumervile's 2017 season? DOOOMMMM 🤘🏽❤💛

Just no. Just...just no. The 49ers are reportedly showing interest in Free Agent cornerback David Amerson. If we do sign him then it's entirely for depth. He'd be a solid number 3 corner, but I hope that we don't actually try to develop him. He's a failed 2nd rounder and his signing will not prevent us from acquiring a big name veteran like Malcolm Butler or Trumaine Johnson. His PFF grade is currently at 39.7. So yeah, he's a depth piece. Do y'all want us to pursue David Amerson? 🤘🏽❤💛
