FIFTEEN AGAIN... I had an Awesome To The Max™ weekend, how was yours? After laying low (literally) to rest & sleep off my trip to Las Vegas for the EDS conference, I was able to finally venture out of the house by the end of the week.
On Friday I visited LACMA & that evening went to the New Beverly Cinema (Tarantino's cinema) & saw the 10th anniversary of the "Grindhouse experience" ('Planet Terror' & 'Death Proof' back to back)... it was amaze. 😍
Saturday night my cousin, Christina & I, went to Cinespia Hollywood Forever Cemetary for the final screening of the season: "Romeo + Juliet".
Tina & I first saw this movie together 21 years ago when we were almost 15 years old. Back then we were too young to have a casual job, so pocket money was the only currency we had access to... and that summer we blew it ALL on seeing R+J at the cinema.
And over again. And them some.
Le sigh... because, 90's Leo. 😍
It was every bit as brilliant as I remember it & if you'd told me two decades ago that right now T & I would BOTH be living in Los Angeles...
... well I probably would have imagined it was under FAR more glamorous circumstances! 🤣
Such special memories came flooding back. 💜
Then this morning we had a yummo brunch at a cute cafe, bought our Halloween costumes (squeeeee!) & shook down the Melrose Trading Post open air Sunday markets for totes adorbs vintage furniture... because... I found an apartment & a rad new housemate!
Vagrant nomadic spoonie no more! In a couple of weeks I'll be living in West Hollywood for good. 🙌
Errr, never mind the fact that I haven't slept all night. 😴
Yes, I TOTALLY overdid it, AGAIN... cuss.
