Frustrated with my work lately. Decided to do something simpler and play with markers.

We had a busy morning cleaning the house but this afternoon I took a bit of a break. I read and worked on this page while my little one napped. There is something so peaceful working with watercolors. “Lord, the God of Israel, there is no God like you in heaven above or on earth below—you who keep your covenant of love with your servants who continue wholeheartedly in your way. -1 Kings 8:23

1 Kings is such an interesting book to read. This chapter is about Elijah and the Widow at Zarephath. Elijah had such faith in God and listen to Him whenever He spoke to him.

For the jar of flour was not used up and the jug of oil did not run dry, in keeping with the word of the Lord spoken by Elijah. - 1 Kings 17:16

There is something so peaceful working with watercolors. “Lord, the God of Israel, there is no God like you in heaven above or on earth below—you who keep your covenant of love with your servants who continue wholeheartedly in your way. -1 Kings 8:23

I know I need wisdom and insight. My prayer is that God blesses me with the right insight and wisdom to deal with any issue or situation that comes up.

God gave Solomon wisdom and very great insight, and a breadth of understanding as measureless as the sand on the seashore. - 1 Kings 4:29

Great verse to use when you are praying for someone who is in authority over you.

So give your servant a discerning heart to govern your people and to distinguish between right and wrong. For who is able to govern this great people of yours?” -1 Kings 3:9

This is the perfect verse for me to work on today. Now I didn't mean to make this page so dark but it turned out better than I thought it would. My youngest son suggested I write the words in white and I am so glad he did!

David said to Gad, “I am in deep distress. Let us fall into the hands of the Lord, for his mercy is great; but do not let me fall into human hands.” - 2 Samuel 24:14

This week I am dealing with a loss. I am numb and sad at the same time. I am so thankful I have a relationship with a loving God who is always there for me.

As for God, his way is perfect: The Lord’s word is flawless; he shields all who take refuge in him. - 2 Samuel 22:31

Still reading about the life of David. God sees every sin we commit. Big or small, he judges us and only forgives us if we ask Him to through the Blood of His Son.

After the time of mourning was over, David had her brought to his house, and she became his wife and bore him a son. But the thing David had done displeased the Lord. - 2 Samuel 11:27

What an awesome verse! It is one that we should all keep close to our hearts.

There is no one holy like the Lord; there is no one besides you; there is no Rock like our God.
-1 Samuel 2:2

I have always loved the story of Hannah praying for a child. Many times we have asked God fopr something important - like a child. Sometimes we don't feel or see that God is listening to us. But He does. He always knows what is best for us and what is the right time for Him to give us his answer.

Eli answered, “Go in peace, and may the God of Israel grant you what you have asked of him.” She said, “May your servant find favor in your eyes.” Then she went her way and ate something, and her face was no longer downcast. - 1 Samuel 1: 17 - 18

Finishing up the book of Ruth today. I love how this interesting woman is apart of Jesus' lineage. “The Lord bless you, my daughter,” he replied. “This kindness is greater than that which you showed earlier: You have not run after the younger men, whether rich or poor. -Ruth 3:10

Made a mistake on this page and I fixed it by covering it with acrylic paint and stickers. The first part of this verse was not spoken to God but it has been my prayer to him many times. “May I continue to find favor in your eyes, my lord,” she said. “You have put me at ease by speaking kindly to your servant—though I do not have the standing of one of your servants.” - Ruth 2:13

I think this is one of the most well known verses in the Bible. I know it is among my favorite! But Ruth replied, “Don’t urge me to leave you or to turn back from you. Where you go I will go, and where you stay I will stay. Your people will be my people and your God my God. - Ruth 1:16
