One little thing could throw the whole thing off. I know when my diet sucks because I'm sad, my workouts suck, making it worse. When self doubt enters my mind, I lash out on the people I love. BUT, when my diet is on point, I have more energy to fuel my workouts. When I practice confidence, I spread positivity out to others. Etc.

💥Modifying The Glute Bridge💥
.
Getting people aware of what it feels like to drive the hips forward with their glutes and not their hamstrings is key in resolving lots of low back pain cases. Glute bridges are a go to drill for this purpose.
.
❌However, many times when performing this exercise the client will catch a cramp in the hamstrings. This is a classic sign that the hamstrings are the brain's go to for hip extension, which is exactly what we don't want.
.
✅To ensure your homework for this client isn't reinforcing that hamstring dominant pattern, try these two variations:
.
🔑 Change the set up of the traditional glute bridge. Bring the heels closer to the butt, spread the Feet a little wider, and turn the toes out. .
🔑 Elevate the clients upper body and do more of a hip thrust. Ensure the spine stays locked into neutral during the lowering phase. Getting sloppy with spinal mechanics will stress the low back.

#Rituals... are cool👌🏻😎 It has been pretty heavy, sticky, clearing kind of #feel around our home for the past few days... almost a week now... I surrendered to #rest, to #sleep, to #slowingdown to the oh so dreaded “sloth” energy I somehow find hard to transmute 🤪. I had to #honour this phase of recalibration and close my doors to the healing sessions we had planned for 😓 😭 It sucks! Sometimes life does not go to plan, and so be it... This morning as I awoke I found myself still struggling, my belly unsettled and nauseated each and every time I stood up 😦 Lucky me, Cary, my lover, was able to gift me a #chiropractic #treatment. ✅🌈he found me “switched”, highly stressed; were my gut was struggling to talk to my brain. I feel a little better now, I am cleansing the space to encourage that #lift I am feeling #Inside of me💚 #Emotionally... energetically...it came to me... what it is that’s coming up for me to clear!! That good old fear of not being financially viable 😱 you know the ups and downs of solely running your own business... It makes sense with that #Taurus energy that the new moon brought with her! At this weekend's Prehab 101 seminar in Dallas, one of the things we talked about was the importance of subjective recovery. Subjective recovery means things that make you feel like you are ready to move, train, etc and usually has to do with reducing soreness. I'm a big fan of doing some dynamic stretching routines, aka recovery routines, as a way to improve this subjective recovery, reduce soreness, and feel ready to train again.

This particular routine targets the spine, hips, and quads.

🔹️Runners lunge with twist and reach
🔹️Cat/Cow to rec fem stretch
🔹️Adductor rock backs with hip twists
.
