Working in events has been an interesting road to say the least. There are hundreds of planning hours behind the scene for each event, gruelling set up and tear down and tons of people you depend on to get things just right. But, there is nothing more exciting than seeing it all come together on event day.
Here are a few behind the scenes pics from my @chinradiocanada days. We produced Miss & Mr. CHIN annually from 2004-2015, 12 of the 49 years the shows ran. While I never thought a bikini pageant would be something I'd find myself involved in (I'd inherited it from my old business partner), CHIN was different. The goal of the competitions was to find a spokesman and woman to carry the title, personality and pizzazz was as important as beauty and brawn.
It was also historic in alot of ways. Introduced in 1966, Miss CHIN was considered racy and controversial for its first several decades. It was this very production that put the multicultural radio station on the map. I always found it so interesting to go by their office and check out old photos / newspaper clippings on the wall. While the event is no longer in production, I'm proud to have been a part of it 😊 #wbw
