❤️With Heat Type- your nasal congestion is thick, turns green or yellow, you want to throw the covers off and are thirsty for colder drinks, #sorethroat, #fever, you #cough up that nasty, thick green or yellow #mucus. With this type of #cold or #flu there are specific signs of heat in the body, so naturally you would want to cool down the body.✨
❤️Strawberries help bring down fevers. Asian pears go directly to the lungs to cool them. I always tell people to put #peppermint tea bags in their water bottle and drink peppermint water. Eating melons not only helps cool the interior of the body, but it absolutely helps #hydrate you at the same time, and broccoli opens pores and allows the pathogens to leave.✨
❤️What is maybe even more important as "what to eat" is "what NOT to eat" which in this case is #dairy which creates more mucus, #spices which add heat to the interior of the body, #coffee, #alcohol and red meat...to name a few.✨
❤️Another tip I have seen help drastically is taking a hot bath/shower for 10 min before bed to open pores, putting on sweatpants, a long sleeve shirt and socks to help sweat which allows for the heat to escape the body in a way which doesn't add interior heat. You might toss and turn, but I can almost guarantee you will wake up feeling much, much better!"
