It was designed in 1799, in the style of Chinoiserie, by the architect Giuseppe Venanzio Marvuglia on commission by King Ferdinand III of Sicily. The palace and its garden were completed between 1800 and 1806. It is located inside the park of La Favorita, Palermo. The Ethnographic Museum of Sicily, named after Giuseppe Pitrè, is inside the Palace.
