Happy Father’s Day! I’m fortunate enough to have listened to an inspiring dad @krisjsimpson who shared his personal story/struggle with everyone on AM 640 “The Parenting Show” today. We talked about the importance of fitness, patience, energy & being present as parents. Do you struggle with any of these? What’s your parenting strength? I’m now working on being more present & on tech less (I’m guilty of using potential quality time to work/email/blog - even when we’re at the dinner table, for example 😬). So I’m focusing on that. At the same time, I’m applauding myself for my energy and playfulness when it comes to my kids. If you missed the show tonight, check it out online @am640 The informative talk radio show is on every Sunday at 7 pm starring @chic_mamma.
Also, big thanks, love, prayers and hugs for the two incredible, smart, business-savvy, creative men (my step-dad & late grandfather) who raised me. I’m appreciative of and thankful for them everyday 💕🙏🏼 It’s eye-opening how, as my friends & I get older, Father’s Day & Mother’s Day gets tough. Many of us are reminded of those who have left us already & the limited time we have with those whom we love. So cherish these days (and all days), tell people you love/admire them (in person and not on social media) and enjoy whatever stage of life you’re at. I hope you all had a beautiful weekend doing whatever it is that makes you happy 💕🎉#fathersday #theparentingshow #chicmamma #worklife #sundayfundays #dadlove
