Day 1: here's my daily digest of #workout and #food ideas to help you get back on track as we move towards the #autumn. It's basically a little diary of what I've been doing, but hopefully you'll find some #inspiration here to apply to your own routine.

Yesterday was a lower body workout - I warmed up then set my clock to 20 mins and did the following:

x20 weighted pile squats - 3 sets with max 30 secs rest between sets

x20 kettlebell swings

x20 weighted bridges - 3 sets

x20 kettlebell swings

x20 weighted walking lunges - 3 sets

x20 kettlebell swings

x20 weighted deadlifts - 3 sets

x20 kettlebell swings

I definitely find that by giving yourself a time limit for a workout you'll get a bigger volume of work down in a shorter amount of time. If you're new to using weights, ease yourself in with lighter weights and if you're a new mum you can do most of this without weight and using a resistance band. You could also swap the kettlebell swings for something like high wall press ups.
Food was pretty simple yesterday.

#Breakfast = poached eggs on wholegrain toast + latte

#Lunch = butter beans with pesto, a favourite - heat the butter beans, add spinach and pesto and wilt Finish with feta cheese and pomegranate seeds sprinkled on top

#Dinner = good old roasted chicken with some asparagus and homemade coleslaw with yoghurt dressing, followed by 3 dates and a tiny bit of almond butter

#Weight: about 50 million stone

Body composition: 21% pool water ; 43% vino blanco ; 13% chocolate ; 23% white bread and croissants

Regrets: None

Yes, the #holiday is over and yes, I'm a little sad. But I will never regret indulging in lovely food and wine on holiday, even if it does mean that my clothes are a little more snug than when I left.

So over the next few weeks I'll be getting back to 'normal', drinking a lot less vino and getting back into a #workout routine again, mixing #weights, #yoga and #intervaltraining in regular mini #workouts.

I've already got quite a few keen mums who have names down to get started in September, so spaces are going to be limited. If you're about to have your baby or have very recently given birth, then get your name down now to give you the best chance of a space as soon as you need it. Classes are:
Warlingham - Tuesdays at 9.30am
Hurst Green - Thursdays at 11am

Hands up if you've had the same #exercise routine forever? You found something years ago that worked really well for you, so you're still doing it now and trusting that it will keep having the same effect.
But have you ever thought about how you could change up your routine and try something new?
Making changes to your routine is the quickest way to keep it fresh and continue to see changes in your body. It will also grow your confidence to know that you're improving in new areas. Plus, it may help to iron out any imbalances that you may have created.
For example, if you're a seasoned #runner and that's all you ever really do, you could make some big improvements by adding some strength and core work into your routine, or by trying a #yoga session to stretch out tight hips. If you're a #gym cardio queen, then adding some weights sessions into your routine will help your body to change even quicker. And if you're all about high impact or #weights work, then focusing some of your #workouts on #stretching and releasing will keep your #body in balance and reduce the chances of injury.
