By no means am I perfect at all of these habits and it may take some time to make these a part of your life.

Make active strides to include these in most of your days and you will typically be pretty damn fit.

The largest factor in all of this is TIME! Progress and habit installment will take time, but you can make active daily investments toward getting better.

⚠️So I received a great DM topic that I thought would be a solid story to share on a post - how I overcame a "mental blow" after falling into a sustained injury, and how I found a belief to carry in order to plow through this period of recovery. Story time.

5 years ago, I started getting workout induced migraines - I'd have intense, sharp headaches in the gym that would be so bad, I'd have to stop working out and would just lay in bed for hours and hours each day. It got to a point where I went to a doctor for a diagnosis, of which they came back with "workout induced migraines". Their solution was for me to stop working out as intensely for the rest of my life, and additionally take beta blockers.

I didn't like that diagnosis or those treatment options. So I took it upon myself to do some research and find some sort of solution - I ultimately stopped weightlifting for 1 month, and switched entirely to 3-5 mile runs and body weight exercises. In the meantime, I did my homework and found that the headaches were a result of me holding my breath when going down on heavy squats - as soon as I fixed my breathing, the headaches disappeared shortly after. And if you've seen me in the gym, you'll notice I make a sharp, "whistling" noise when I exhale sometimes. This is to combat those workout induced migraines I used to have.

That month of uncertainty was mentally disorienting - it sucked, but in my head I saw it as some sort of challenge or obstacle to overcome. And most importantly, I tuned out whatever was happening in the "outside world". I focused on making small, daily improvements. Making changes. Being proactive. And trying to be as present as possible - only comparing progress one day at a time rather than thinking about how my training was prior to the injury.

The idea that weight gain can happen over a complete lifetime, but people expect to lose a good chunk of it in a month is completely backwards!

It is just so unrealistic.🤪 People are setting themselves up for failure before they even start and driving themselves crazy during the process.

You NEED to know that a BIG transformation will take longer than you expect it to. Fat loss and fat gain is ultimately dependent on energy balance. You didn’t have 50+ lbs of a positive energy balance to cause fat gain in a few short days, so stop expecting to lose it that fast.

The whole process, gain or loss is scientifically pretty slow. If you are looking to make a change promise me this...you will accept the journey and welcome it with patience.

MOTIVATION MONDAY! 💪 👊 check out some of Natalie’s workout and nutrition.
I’m very proud of Natalie’s work ethic and desire to want to improve during training. She makes improvements each week with technique during her lifts and slowly is adding weight to the bar each week as well. I’m excited to post some personal records soon Natalie has achieved. She also quit training at her commercial gym and recently joined a power lifting gym to around more like minded people. Excited to continue to post all Natalie’s progress going forward.

Out of all my before and after pictures , this was the hardest for me to post... but I want to show you that I’ve been there... we all have to start somewhere , just as long as we start. Everybody always tells me “No way you were never fat” and I always laughed because they hadn’t seen this picture yet 😂... I was good at hiding it that’s why people couldn’t tell. I was always so insecure about my body but I never did anything to try to change it .. I would just comfort myself with more and more unhealthy food. Until I turned my life around completely! Changed my eating habits , tracked my food , and hit the gym 5/6 days a week. You won’t get results until you work for it. Please stop being so hard on yourself, we are not perfect and we all have flaws. Social media plays a big part of our lives where we see all these beautiful women everywhere and we look down on ourselves because we don’t have their “perfect bodies” or “perfect life” truth is nobody posts their failures or struggles, and we all struggle.. just in different ways. Be comfortable in your own skin and love yourself even when you’re not at your best , that’s what helps you grow.

Here and better than ever ! Transformation Tuesday. Just always member you can do ANYTHING you put your mind too!
