Soooo about last night🙈I’ve been a little MIA because it’s the week of the largest conference for my industry here in Chicago. I’ve hosted happy hours and dinners each evening, (which means a little too much of this🥂🍺🍸) Am I stressing out about it? Nope! Here’s what I’m doing to keep my mentality in check and make sure I enjoy myself with my clients to strengthen these important business relationships⬇️
✔️Remind myself that some things are just more important than a night or two of perfect macros! One or two nights is NOT going to ruin the progress I’ve made over the past couple years!
✔️Stick to my workout schedule! Even with early mornings and late night at the conference, I’ve showed up at the gym. Why? Because my clients are a priority, but so is my training. I’ve also scheduled my rest day strategically around the conference, so there’s no guilt when I take it👊🏻(PS it’s triceps and chest day and I’m SO EXCITED🙌🏻)
✔️Eat protein throughout the day. Knowing that my evening meals and drinks will be heavy carbs, I’ve made sure that my breakfast and lunch meals are heavy on protein. My macros may not be perfect on conference days, but you don’t have to completely throw them out the window either!
✔️Choose alcoholic drinks wisely🍸I always go for the clearest form of alcohol when I know I’ll be drinking a lot. Liquor like vodka and gin are overall less calories than your darker liquor and beer. They also don’t require sugary mixers to be smooth and enjoyable!
