Life update➡️Started my new job today🤟🏼 I had the interview yesterday, got the call an hour later that I got the job, and I started today🤗So extremely grateful and blessed to be working with kids again and making a true impact on their lives🙌🏼 Prep update➡️Weight is going down, energy still low, but grinding is going up. Coach told me I have to dig deep these next 5.5 weeks, so we gonna dig baby😜Life is good, and for once I’m extremely happy with my future and the career path that I chose📚

Get you a girl who can do both 💄💁🏼‍♀️🏋🏼‍♀️💪🏼Coach gave me two refeed days in a row and my body is like YESSS give me all the carbs. 🥔🍚🥞 Even found a new chest vein today.🙀 I can’t believe I’m 4 weeks out from @kyopenbodybuildingofficial. I think it’s safe to say the extra food this week is doing it’s job 👋🏼🍳🍟 I love training chest but sometimes I’ll catch my reflection after a set and with the blood flow that starts cooking, things can look a little freaky 😅 Luckily my brilliant coach/training is to blame on that. Some sets are heavier, some sets are light, some pinpoint the muscle squeeze, and some.. I have no idea what’s going on. I just go with it 🙋🏻‍♀️ .

Failure in every day life is considered negative. Something everyone is scared of and fear usually wins, stopping us from trying something new or challenging. And if or when failure happens, disappointment usually follows.

Failure in the gym. It’s something we strive for. Failure is an act of giving it all you have and pushing until you have no more. When we fail in the gym, it sets the bar for what we accomplish next and allows us to dig deep to places we haven’t explored. It is a positive result that keeps us going. Failure inspires.

So two different meanings, yet the activities we attempt in the gym should be no different than the activities we do in our daily lives. Learning how to apply that way of thinking everyday in and out of the gym will significantly change how we approach new things and progress.

So here’s me, attempting cable flys at a weight I have never tried and failing 5 reps in. But now the bar is set and next time, I will strive for 8 and get 8.

Happy #flexfeiday, Friends!!🎉 I honestly can’t believe it’s Friday. This week has flown by so fast! Today’s push workout was focused on chest and shoulders.💪🏼 Afterwards, I finished off with an ab circuit.🔥 Swipe to see the workout!👉🏼

1️⃣ pause bench press: stretch and warm up 20 w/ the bar, then do 3x8 and 3x6. Go lighter and the weight and hold the bar on your chest for just a split second longer than you normally would.
- superset each set w/ 10 overhead BB presses
2️⃣ superset: 5 rounds
- 10 leaning cable lateral raises (each arm)
- 5 static hold lateral raises (each arm), 10 together
3️⃣ superset: 5 rounds
- 10 incline smith machine bench presses - 10 cable flies
4️⃣ superset: 5 rounds
- 8 seated alternating shoulder presses (each arm)
- 12 alternating front raises (each arm)
5️⃣ superset: 5 rounds
- 10 close grip bench presses - 12 slow DB push-ups (if you aren’t able to do these, just do regular push-ups with your hands shoulder-width apart and arms bending by your side).

°First 15 reps are from 180 degrees to 45 , second 15 are from 45 degrees to 90 while keeping constant tension at the top.
°(last 15 reps at heaviest/safest weight) full reps
Repeat up to 4 sets!!!

Taken this morning post fasted cardio🏃🏼‍♀️💦, and I can’t tell if my eyes are opened or closed😜Either way I still got it done, and I also just finished up my second cardio session for the day. The ONLY way I get through my long cardio sessions is by watching YouTube videos. I literally will watch anything and everything that is entertaining to distract me from my legs going numb😅🙌🏼Who’s with me???
