Single leg RDLs with a pause. One of my favorite in-season exercises.
With this, the eccentric stress is minimized as we try to add difficulty to the exercise in the form of balance, a pause, and full body extension rather than an external load.
This exercise gets the athlete some work with:
1️⃣anterior core stability
2️⃣scapular upward rotation
6️⃣and maybe even some hamstring flexibility
Additionally, the positions we achieve when performing this exercise correctly mimic those of throwing. This low-impact, low-speed, and low-intensity exercise helps the body map a correct movement pattern by engaging multiple muscle groups while still allowing it to sequence said movements appropriately through full ROMs. Great demo, @andrew_mags27!!!
