Heading back up to NYC this weekend for tonight's book party, to see a few friends, and to eat so much Sichuan food that I burst into flames. My favorite restaurant in the world continues to be Grand Sichuan House in Brooklyn, and leaving it was one of the most agonizing parts of moving away (and my excuse for not leaving years sooner). Every night I dream of fragrant Guizhou chicken, firey Chengdu dumplings, luscious Dan Dan noodles, mouth numbing Mapo Tofu, silky double cooked pork belly, extra crispy cumin beef. My order has gotten completely out of control. Any of you guys ever order $100 for yourself? Just me?
