WHY SIDNEY JONES SHOULDN’T PLAY THIS SEASON
-
-
Second round pick CB Sidney Jones will be eligible to practice tomorrow after recovering from his Achilles injury he suffered from his Washington Pro Day. This has a lot of fans hype about his return but should he play in 2017? Here is a few reasons why letting Jones play this season would be a MISTAKE. -
-
First off Jones has not played a football snap since New Years Eve. He missed OTAs, training camp, and the entire preseason which may seem like not a big deal, but all three of those things are vital to a rookie having success in the NFL. -

Also we have to take in account the corners we do have and how much they have impressed so far this season compared to what was expected of them. Ronald Darby was injured early in week one vs the Redskins and is looking to return Monday Night against the Skins but he definitely has been our best corner from what we have seen to him. Second year corner Jalen Mills has been decent and competitive with top wideouts but has had a few calls not go his way. The biggest surprise has been Patrick Robinson being super productive in the slot and has played lights out the last two weeks. Rookie Rasul Douglas has also been improving but he has been burned on long plays on numerous occasions. NOW, with a secondary that is already playing past expectations, would throwing Sidney Jones into the mix actually make the defense better? An argument can be made that because of his lack of experience and because he hasn’t played in almost a year, he will be rusty and he will make rookie mistakes.

Finally there is always the risk of re-injury. Achilles injuries can end players careers if not treated correctly and rushed back on to the field. Rushing Jones out on to the field in 2017 when the secondary has already exceeded expectations, may not be worth the risk. If Jones goes out there and re-injures his Achilles, his career will be over. -

The original Chicago style Cheesesteak in all its greasy, gut-bombin' glory. Though this location claims to be the original it's not. That was in Highwood (1966). Then they opened a 2nd location in Lincoln Park which is how I became familiar with it. Both of those locations are long gone but this one up in Waukegan remains and the sandwich remains the same. Chopped steak, melted American cheese, Lettuce, Tomato, Onion, Mayo, and their signature oil which is without a doubt what makes this sandwich so addicting. Not as well known are their sliders (2) but they should be, as they're as good as all the old slider spots I've visited elsewhere. This isn't a "foodie" destination and that's ok bc I'm not a "foodie" - I'm a Chicagoan that likes to explore and I do so through food. #ChicagoHistory

Tip 💡:
The next time you want to use cheesy pick-up lines, use actual cheese it’s proven to be 100% efficient 😂

Circa 2006? After skatin FDR all day, we headed to Tony Luke's Cheesteaks; we were all very pumped to try a real yankeedoodle cheesteak. After waiting in line for nearly an hour, with anticipation at an all time high, the lady at the counter sat sideways to ensure there would be zero eye contact. In an effort to place my order with manners, she screamed 'what the f*** do you want? "Well mam, if you could just hang on for a second. I'll take a footlong cheesteak with...." "Wit or Witout?" She hollered. I wasn't sure what that meant. "Backa da line!!" She said. "Excuse me? Mam, I'll go 'Wit'." "Backa da line!" She insisted. So to the back of the line I went. Moral of the story is in Philly, if you want a philly cheesteak, you need to be an asshole to get a smile. After finally getting my grub on, we crossed into 'Joysee' and found this old abandoned campground and shortly after learned all about the 'joysee devil'.
