Ok guys, so about 3 months ago, I lost my beloved @maccosmetics Ruby Woo 💔
I went to purchase another, and
was shook to find out that it’s now a whopping R240! 😲
I ended up purchasing a Retro Matte Liquid Lip Colour in Dance With Me, but about a week later my heart still yearned for my Ruby Woo 😂
I then embarked on a journey of finding a suitable duplicate 😬 I mean seriously, I could purchase an entire eyeshadow palette from @swiitchbeauty for R110 more, I was not very keen on splurging R240 on 1 lipstick, also lets remember that I LOST 1, what if I lose the new 1?! No.
During my enlightening journey – I’ve discovered some absolute gems, which are easily accessible to the ordinary South African girl.
My swatches are as follows:
@medora_wholesale – #TrueRed
@medora_wholesale – #GypsyRose
@hudabeauty Liquid Matte – #Cheerleader
@wetnwild_sa Megalast – #StoplightRed
@avonsouthafrica True Colour Perfectly Matte – #RedSupreme
@maccosmetics – #RubyWoo
@essence_cosmetics Lip Liner – #RedBlush
@maccosmetics Retro Matte Liquid Lip Colour – #DanceWithMe
Fortunately for me, a week ago I found my Ruby Woo💃 but, with that being said – it made me realise how awfully dry it is, especially on a winter morning.
The Avon True Colour Perfectly Matte – Red Supreme is a very close colour match to Ruby Woo and doesn’t leave your lips feeling tight and dry.
Also, now that I’ve discovered the Mac Retro Matte Liquid Lip Colour, I don’t think I would purchase Mac lipsticks again. Everything about the Mac Retro Matte Liquid Lip Colour is so much better.
