I’ve been a lil MIA with workout posts but I’ve been in a weird funk with so much going on at school! Test after test after test. Like at this point I’m anxious if I DONT have a test😅seems too chill if I dont🤔 so here’s a nasty pic of me leaving the gym yesterday after dragging my ass out of bed at 5am. Had to get a workout in before classes and tutoring and CPR (8am-8pm baby)! Just a friendly reminder that you can make as many excuses as you want but results come from dedication and desire 💜 second pics are unedited updates of where I’m at rn!! My routine for the past few months has been:

-a shot of “GET THE EFF UP AND DO THE DAMN THING, CHAMP”

Followed by a few doses of:
-CONSISTENCY
-DEDICATION
-and STICKING TO MY DAMN PLAN
..
In the process I’ve also cut out: -ANY AND ALL EXCUSES
-NEGATIVITY -SELF DOUBT
..
All of this plus a sprinkle of bomb ass coaching (@t_wayne64 ) and THIS ⬆️ is the end result
..
No magic pill.
No crash diet.
No starving (although I am always hungry because my metabolism is lit 🔥💁🏼‍♀️).
No hours of cardio. ..
ALL NATURAL.
Just hard work and never giving up.

It takes time.
It takes planning.
It takes dedication.
It takes sacrifice.
..
But if your dreams don’t scare and excite you, they’re not big enough.

It seems glamorous right?? When you see everyone all dolled up on show day. Hair done, makeup flawless, eye-catching blinged out bikini, beautiful bronzed tan...

But what people don’t see is the amount of work and sacrifice it takes. Getting up early to hit your fasted cardio, pushing through your workouts on minimal carbs, crushing through those night cardio sessions with your sweatshirt on. THAT is what competing is about. The grind, the heart, the dedication, the commitment. THATS what makes people successful in this league. .

Bodybuilding has taught me so much over the last few years. It’s taught me to be strong, to persevere, to not give up, to be the best version of myself, to find a routine and stick to it, and to believe in myself ❤️.

+ On the topic of abs, they come and go as they please. Spot reduction is not a thing!
+ Abs, in my opinion, are NO indicator of a persons health. They tend to come out when you're at a low bf% BUT some people naturally have them because they gain their fat elsewhere on the body. I personally gain weight in my stomach first 🤷🏽‍♀️
+ With that said, ya can't do 500 crunches a day and expect abs to appear if you're sitting at a high body fat %. Spot reduction is not possible in that way - but if you maintain a caloric deficit they'll come out to play the more you stay consistent! Abs are made in the kitchen, and i wholeheartedly believe that that rule applies to most of the population. Don't get down on yourself if you don't have abs yet, if they weren’t important for the stage I wouldn’t care about them at all. THIS IS THE FIRST TIME I'VE HAD ABS MY WHOLE LIFE and it's because my body fat is down! Simple as that y'all

It has been a week since my last Bikini comp, 2 weeks until the next one. Besides my RBF 😆(resting b*tch face) between sets and a dirty gym mirror, I'm actually taking on board the judges feedback to soften my body before my next ICN Bikini comp. Despite eating over half a family size cheesecake the night before my previous comp, and carb loading the morning of and before hitting the stage I still came in lean and my abs started peaking towards the end of the day. This prep so far has me eating more clean carbs/food and it's definitely working as I've already put on 4 kilos. The extra "fluff" has hidden my otherwise blocky abs (despite the mental games) I know I have 2 weeks to make those changes and hope it's what the judges are looking for on the day at State Titles. Personally I prefer being leaner/ having abs and will go back to my normal diet and training after comp. The competition at State level will be high and I have to trust the process/my coach 100% to get my body into those judging guidelines if I have any chance of placing. Gotta love comp life. .
