72-PERSON BALL PASSING
by Charles Moulton, featuring an all-Toronto cast! All THREE Programs - October 4-6 @ 7:30pm.
Part dance, part game, and part living puzzle, Ball Passing is widely considered to be a masterpiece of post-modern dance. An ever-evolving community-building dance work that has featured anywhere from 3 – 60 performers since 1980, Ball Passing illustrates how diverse individuals can co-operate to manifest interdependent structures. With the help of American choreographer @charlesmoulton, FFDN is commissioning the largest ball passing project thus far, bringing together 72 Canadians from all walks of life to develop an intricate dance showcasing the complexity of community and speaking to the key value within collaboration: that when we work together, we are more than the sum of our parts.
