Grange for sure is the most famous wine from Australia. Penfolds has managed to make it a worldwide brand.
This is my first time, drinking the 2004 vintage. Although it's only 14 years of age, it's already drinking beautifully. With only an hour of decanting, the nose offered lots of blackberries, cassis, smoky notes and hint of espresso. It is a full bodied powerhouse, very concentrated, with tannins present. There's a good balance between acidity and sweetness. The Grange 2004 should be even better in 5-8 years. This is just Australian greatness!
