I went in search of this bottle today for my traditional Thanksgiving mimosas and found it at Reasors. Upon reaching the checkout line, which seemed a mile long, I realized I went inside with only my keys and my debit card in my back pocket. As I stood in line and joked with other customers about the long lines, it seemed everyone was in good spirits. I asked the women in front of me if they carded everyone and she said they did. I joked that maybe my tired face and streak of white hair would serve as enough proof that I was of age. She chuckled and turned around, looked in my basket and asked, "how much is it?" (That bottle was the only thing in my basket, lol.) I relied with, "about $14." To which she whisked around, snatched the bottle out of my basket and placed it in hers. My mouth dropped as she quickly moved forward to the cashier. She asked the cashier to ring it up first and seperate from everything else, so I offered my debit card so she didn't have to pay for it. It was politely refused. She handed me the Buy Broken Arrow Tickets as well, which I absolutely didn't expect. As she handed me the tickets, she said, "if you win with those....." and I knew where she was going with that statement. So I quickly replied with, "are you on Facebook? How would I find you?" She gave me her name and the friend request was sent as she looked at me and told to have a wonderful Thanksgiving. My heart soared as I walked out of that store and I had the biggest smile on my face as I replayed the interaction. I was completely astonished by her generosity. Today, I'm grateful for the kindness of strangers.
