cute new #sweats I picked up from the #CFBKingston #Canex. I am an #ArmyBrat, and I drove to the old #Army base that I used to live on. Our old PMQ (3F Lundy's Lane) has since been demolished.. it was a bummer to discover it was gone! They also built some sort of warehouse directly across from where our townhouse had been -- which is a shame because, when we lived there I used to go to sleep and watch the #WolfeIsland ferry sail back and forth, watching its lights slowly move across the water... it was just a small little glimpse that I got from my bedroom window. Now, no one get that same experience.
My opinion of the Army, is very high. I love our military! Canada is known as a peacekeeping country, and our soldiers have not only helped those in crisis internationally, but domestically too. The domestic efforts of our Forces makes me really proud of my Dad, and all his buddies who helped out with the Winnipeg Floods, and the Quebec Ice Storms.. I think of our Military as a force to help Canadians, and do good for its communities --- but also there, of course, to defend, or fight for our freedoms.
The best times of my life, were when we lived the Army life. I loved living on bases, around kids who went through the exact same things, like when your Dad would go on field exercises for weeks, or on tours for months. It was really easy to relate to people on base, and people were ALWAYS there for you if you needed something. I really miss this.
