This staircase is what made me swoon about this house. The nightmare is almost over and a year after we first laid eyes on her, it's almost fully restored. Fun fact: The stained glass is from the 1904 World's Fair and actually had to be moved from its original spot mid-way up the staircase to make way for a new staircase from the second to the third floor. #centuryhome#webstergroves#neverendingproject#nevermovingagain
The balcony rail was one of the last things to go on and we can finally start using this space! I'm thinking a nice bistro set would be great up here and a potted plant, but I'd love to hear what you guys would do. The space is 20' x 5.5'. And go! #farmhouse#renovation#centuryhome#balcony#home
Tin knocking today at this 1876 century home. Had to knock down a portion of the old foundation to make room to run the ductwork, plumbing, and electrical for the new addition. Amazing how far we've come in the construction industry. I still like the old fashioned look of the exposed stone and mortar foundations.
