😄💥🎇😄In honor of recovery month, I am so excited to share that I celebrated 8 years of sobriety over the weekend😄💥🎇😄

8 years ago my life looked OK from the outside but on the inside I was dying and losing all hope to live a good life, gripped by the insanity of alcoholism.
I sure didn’t have anywhere near the self love or happiness I do today.

Today, I am blessed to choose sobriety on a daily basis and to know my primary purpose: to stay sober and help other alcoholics to achieve sobriety. If you or someone you know is struggling with addiction, please know there IS another way of life available to you if you want it. Please DM me if you have any questions (read my blog posts, link in bio)⬆️⬆️⬆️
Thank you!
With love and gratitude,
💜 Kellie

#finishyourmilk Finish Your Milk and “Don’t Drink the Kool-Aid” is in the final editing and copyright phases. Which means if at all possible this full length book will be Indy published this year, preferably in November. This documents my journey but turns over some tables, shares truths, challenges you to dig deeper and discover purpose, contains: poems, essays, personal testimony as well as at least a dozen others from all walks of life. There is an official Facebook page just search the title of the book and click like, follow etc. You will find the preface, quotes, verses and encouragement from each chapter. This first round will be self published and available on Amazon in several formats. Paper backs orders at this time will take a little longer. Bear with me and pray for me in this process, because I know that what this book contains can challenge a generation (whosoever will) to Love deeper. Updates on the ministry soon, but check the link in the bio because the website has been updated. #opioidcrisis #awareness #freedom337 #turntables #growup #resisthate #thinkforyourself #discoverpurpose #grind #dream #pray #faith #hope #love #thatlacommunity #sulphurla #freedomministryofthesouth #celebraterecovery #healed #forgiven #redeemed

James is amazing person. He has been one of the best mentors that I have come across. He cares about the team and is always ready to serve. - ITS TESTIMONY TUESDAY!!
Before I came to Celebrate Recovery, I falsely believed my greatest strength was being self-reliant. This belief led me to develop a false sense of pride in myself.
Self-reliance was a tool that I learned to use to protect myself from being betrayed... it was all about self-preservation. I had lots of problems, but they were not visible, my problems were on the inside and I worked hard to keep them hidden behind a facade of self-assurance. My "before" picture reflects the most important thing in my life at that time, me. I was very self-centered and because of this it was nearly impossible for me to have relationships with others. Eventually, it became hard for me to love anyone, especially myself. It was when I began to work the Principles of Celebrate Recovery that God began to change my heart.
My "after" picture reflects my improved ability to nurture and love others. Today it's no longer just about me. I’m so glad that I can be a loving husband to my wife and set a good example for my daughter. I'm so glad that my daughter never has to meet the old me. But, most importantly, I'm so glad I learned that there is no room for God if I am full of myself!”
Thanks for sharing James!

Sometimes when things wouldn't go my way I would start to believe the enemy and start thinking that God had forgotten about me. I would think that God had stop loving me. This is one of the biggest reason why I have such a big support group. I need to let it out and give it to God. At time's my mind tends to over analyze and overthink my problems. The enemy tries his best to use that and plant doubts in my mind.

The enemy does not came at me with a red suit and a pitch fork. The enemy is smarter than that. The enemy disguises himself as an angel of light. I continue to pray to God for the hedge of protection around me and my family. I know in the end God wins. I know God has my Back. I know the enemy just tries to keep me from doing God's Work.

“Addiction is a tough illness, and recovery from it is a hard but noble path. Men and women who walk that path deserve our support, encouragement, and admiration.” - Sheldon Whitehouse
